Why thermally modified wood.
Untreated cedar shrinks and warps as the seasons change. Thermally modified wood does not.
Thermory heat-treats a range of wood species with steam and heat alone, in a process refined over nearly thirty years, and the result is wood that stays stable, sheds moisture and keeps its colour in a Canadian climate. It is what we build most custom rooms from and what every Thermory kit is made of. Cedar is still an option when a project calls for it, and we will tell you plainly which is right for yours.
