The Apex is the heater Homecraft builds for rooms that see heavy use: large family saunas, gyms, hotels and spas. Its 18″ stainless cylinder holds up to 310 lbs of stone, more than any other Homecraft heater.
That much rock stores a lot of heat, so the room recovers quickly after the door opens and pours keep turning into steam.
Protected elements, generous stone
Homecraft shields its heating elements behind stainless baffles and directs the air up through the stones. The rocks heat quickly and evenly, and the elements are protected from direct contact with water, which helps them last.
Pour a little for a dry, bright session or keep the ladle moving for thick, soft löyly. The heater gives you the range.
Nearly 40 years of Homecraft
Homecraft has designed and built sauna heaters in Surrey, BC since 1988, and is one of only a handful of North American companies still manufacturing its own.
Every heater is stainless steel, certified to CSA C22.2 #164 and backed by a two-year manufacturer warranty that covers the heating elements.

Which size fits my sauna room?
The 10 kW suits rooms of 400 – 625 cu ft, the 12 kW suits rooms of 425 – 700 cu ft, the 15 kW suits rooms of 550 – 900 cu ft, the 18 kW suits rooms of 690 – 1,200 cu ft. Large windows, glass doors or an uninsulated room can push you up a size. Send us your room dimensions and we'll confirm.
Is a control included?
Pairs with a Homecraft TKE2-2, TKE2-3 or TKE3 control depending on size and voltage, sold separately. Every Homecraft control system pairs a wall-mounted touchpad with a contactor box that switches the heater's power. A Wi-Fi touchpad lets you start and schedule your sauna from your phone.
Are sauna stones included?
Stones are sold separately. This heater takes Up to 310 lbs (10 boxes). Homecraft sauna stones come in 35 lb boxes, and we can add them to your order.
What electrical work is needed?
A licensed electrician must install the heater and its contactor box. Homecraft states that installation by anyone else voids the heater warranty and can affect your home insurance. Use the breaker size listed for your model, and check local code and the installation manual before booking the work.
Do you ship outside Canada?
Homecraft heaters are made in BC and we sell them to Canadian customers only. We ship across Canada; reach out if you're in a remote area and we'll confirm delivery.
